First photographic competition held by the Hotel Garnì Roberta, Malga Ciapela

The Initiative

The Hotel Garnì Roberta, Malga Ciapela (Rocca Pietore, BL) will hold a photographic competition on national scale, on the topic of the Dolomites’ winter season.

The initiative, named “Take off on your skis, take up photography”(Scatta sugli sci) will take place through the hotel’s Facebook page, where the contestants will be able to upload their photos and vote for those already published.

The winning photos will be those that, at the end of the competition, will have received the highest number of votes.

Prizes

1^st prize: a one person, 7 day, bed and breakfast holiday stay here with us at the Hotel Garnì Roberta.

2^nd prize: a one person, 3 day, bed and breakfast holiday stay here with us at the Hotel Garnì Roberta.

3^rd prize: a luxurious dinner in one of the best restaurants of the Marmolada area, based on our mouthwatering local produce.

Everybody will receive a 10% discount on any holiday stay longer than 3 days at the Hotel Garnì Roberta.

All prizes will be redeemable during the winter season 2011/2012 and the 2012 summer season, subject to availability

Rules

The competition is entirely free and will take place online, on the hotel’s Facebook page.

• All participants should submit their entries by the 31^st of January 2012.
• Each participant can enter more than one photo.
• All photos must have a title and must be uploaded in the designated section of the Hotel Garni’ Roberta’s Facebook page. Photos must not be larger than 3 Mb.
• The organizers decline all responsibilities related to technical issues, errors, photo deleting and malfunctioning of the means of communication chosen to transmit the photos.
• The participant implicitly declares, by uploading them, to be the author of the images and to be in possession of their rights.
• By sending the photo, the participant implicitly declares the organizer is not responsible should any third party claim the rights to the images published, or should any of the people pictured feel their rights to privacy have been violated.
• Every photo will be moderated by the organizers, who will have the right not to publish those deemed unsuitable.
• By uploading a photo, the participant automatically accepts these rules.
• All personal information will be used in accordance to the regulation for the protection of privacy.

Conditions for exclusion

All works that:

• Go against common decency
• Contain commercial references
• Are not related to the theme of the competion

Will not be accepted.

By uploading the images, the participant allows the Hotel Garni’ to publish them.

The author of the image guarantees the image itself is exclusive result of his/her own creativity and that is an original.

The author yields to the Hotel Garni’ Roberta, free of charge and for undetermined time, the right to reproduce the image, with any technological means considered opportune, in publications such as, for instance but not exclusively, the Hotel Garni’ Roberta web and Facebook pages, as well as during events.

The author will retain the rights to be named as such whenever the image is used by the Hotel Garni’ Roberta. It must be kept in mind, though, that by sponsoring this competition, the Hotel Garni’ Roberta does not assume any duty of publishing and/or exhibit the images that have been submitted.

General dispositions

The organizers have the right to change and/or abolish at any given time the conditions and procedures related to this competition before its given ending date. Should this happen, the organizers will inform the participants formally. The Hotel Garni’Roberta does not assume responsibility for any given reason because of which the competition may be cancelled or the participation to it limited.

All material uploaded or sent will not be returned.

In accordance to the D.P.R. n.430 dated 26.10.2001, art.6, this competition is not subject to ministerial authorization.
